Ethereum dropped 2.3% in 24 hours to approximately $2,403 as of October 22, marking a 12.6% decline over the past 30 days after retreating from a high of $2,788. Market participants are watching the $2,300 support zone, which buyers defended twice during the month: on October 15, when the asset rebounded from an intraday low of $2,313 to close at $2,439, and on October 18, when it recovered from $2,325 to end at $2,408.

The cryptocurrency trades 51.4% below its record peak and has fallen roughly 19.0% since December 31, 2025, when it stood at $2,967. Over that same timeframe, Bitcoin declined by 3.8%. Ether remains positioned below both its 20-day moving average of $2,520 and its 50-day moving average of $2,551, levels that analysts view as potential technical resistance.

Despite recent weakness, Ether is up about 29.2% over a 90-day period compared to its July 24 mark of $1,860. If the $2,300 threshold gives way, that July level represents the next major historical reference point, sitting roughly 22.6% below prevailing prices.

These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
