US spot Ether ETF outflows exceed $1 billion in October
Withdrawals from US spot Ether funds have surpassed $1 billion in October 2026, marking the largest monthly net outflow of the year.
US spot Ether exchange-traded funds recorded $1.08 billion in net outflows from the start of October through October 21, according to data from SoSoValue. An additional $26 million in withdrawals on Tuesday pushed total redemptions past the $1 billion mark, completely reversing the $832 million in net inflows registered in September. Following these redemptions, year-to-date net inflows for Ether ETFs dropped to approximately $485 million, marking the largest monthly net outflow since November 2025.
The fund redemptions occurred alongside a 9.7% drop in Ether's spot price during October, falling from $2,700 to $2,438. According to CoinGecko data cited in the report, the asset had declined nearly 18% over the course of 2026.
In contrast, US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $23 million in net inflows on Tuesday, following a $527 million surge on Monday. Despite those gains, Bitcoin ETFs have posted roughly $67 million in net outflows for October, leaving their year-to-date net inflows at approximately $809 million. Bitcoin traded at $82,954 at publication, down 2.2% on the month and 5.3% for the year.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
