Germany’s Sparkassen savings bank network has launched cryptocurrency trading services directly within its banking application, beginning October 19. The service, operated by DekaBank, offers trading and custody for Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Polygon, with the objective of eventually reaching around 50 million customers across the country.

The rollout is decentralized, leaving each of the roughly 350 independent savings banks to determine its own deployment schedule. Network officials anticipate that 30 to 40 individual banks will activate the feature each month, aiming for coverage across the majority of the network by the first half of 2027. Joachim Schmalzl, an executive board member of the German Savings Banks Association, confirmed to dpa that each institution sets its own timing.

The offering, branded as Krypto powered by Deka, functions on an execution-only basis without suitability assessments or investment advice. Customers pay a flat fee of €0.99 per transaction, with order limits capped at €250,000. Trades are executed at firm quotes rather than via an open order book, and the applied spreads are not publicly disclosed. In addition, transfers to personal self-hosted wallets are prohibited, restricting withdrawals solely to authorized third-party providers.

These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
